ABOUT ME
Hello beautiful, I'm Christy King of Chrysalis Beauty Studio! I began my career in 1997. I apprenticed under the direction of the very knowledgeable and talented Lloyd Richards. It is because of Mr. Richards that I developed a love of healthy hair first and beautiful style second. From there I moved onto work at various multicultural salons giving me the chance to work with all kinds of hair and performing all sorts of techniques. After so many years of seeing women and men go through the heartache of losing their hair for one reason or another and not knowing any real solutions, I found a haircare company that had done the research. In 2004 I decided to grow out my chemically straightened hair and embraced my natural hair. During that year I had the opportunity to train in Atlanta with Nioxin Research Laboratories. I learned of the reasons and contributing factors to hair loss and breakage. Working with Nioxin and growing out my own natural curls and kinks were pivotal in my career giving me a wealth of knowledge that I was able to share with my clients as well as the opportunity to train other hairstylist in the Ohio, Indiana and in the Kentucky region. Though no longer with Nioxin I continue to attend various classes and love the opportunity for growth. When I'm not working in the salon I'm busy taking care of my husband, two kids and our dog Willow. On my downtime and busy moments I usually have a latte or coffee in hand. I love to online shop, chat with my girlfriends, listen to music and watch fashion and home interior decorating vlogs on YouTube. I am looking forward to meeting you!
